In issue 11 (November, 2007) the lead Russian computer game magazine "PC Games" asked major Russian publishers on their attitude concerning StarForce protection solutions.

Vladimir Korotkov - Head of Technical support department Akella company answers the questions:

PC Games: What brands do your company use for game protection and what does this depend on?

- We always use StarForce protection along with some other systems. Foreign publisher may insist on usage of preferable system, and we should obey.

PC Games: What are the advantages and disadvantages of StarForce solutions?

- Advantages are obvious: protection of our titles helps to compensate costs for licensing and localization. Especially after introduction of StarForce DiscFree technology I can't point any considerable minuses in usage of StarForce protection.

PC Games: How many technical problems calls do you receive concerning StarForce protection. And what are the most common issues?

- Approximately 5% of all calls. People most often are confusing letters and digits in serial numbers and disc keys or insert wrong disc in the drive.
