StarForce Technologies to attend the INT’LSOFT CHINA 2004 in Beijing

01.07.2004

StarForce Technologies, a well-known provider of software protection solutions is going to attend the 8th INT’LSOFT CHINA 2004, which will be held in the Beijing International Exhibition Center from July 8, 2004 to July 10, 2004.  Being the most important large-scale software exhibition in China for the year 2004, it will feature the most famous software companies and their products.

Among the participants, StarForce Technologies (its Chinese name is XING ZHI DUN KE JI), is expecting a heavy attention both from the media and its counterparts.  Nowadays StarForce Technologies has grown into a leader in the digital protection technologies industry since its establishment in 1998, and has become a natural business partner of a great number of leading European, Asia-Pacific, and American publishers. Until today, StarForce Technologies has had operations in 26 different countries all over the world, and its market share in Russia has reached 90% for computer games. The rise of StarForce Technologies has proved once again the game rule governing the IT industry: a winner takes it all.

Since its outset, StarForce Technologies has committed to the level-field playing and excellence in the development of software protection systems.  There are three reasons behind its prominent success. Firstly, StarForce Technologies provides solutions supporting all popular software delivery methods, such as optical media (including CD/DVD-ROM and CD-R discs), and electronic delivery (downloading, e-mail delivery, etc.)  Such a variety of delivery methods is provided by their solutions especially designed for different segments of the software market, including business, educational, and entertainment applications. The solutions include StarForce Professional 3.0 to protect content-based software against professional hackers, StarForce Basic Edition 3.0 to prevent unauthorized casual copying, StarForce CD-R 3.0 to protect software delivered in small batches, and StarForce ProActive 1.1 to protect business applications against professional hackers and unauthorized use.

Secondly, StarForce technologies are reliable and secure. The multi-level comprehensive protection technology can be applied to the application’s executables (.DLL and .EXE files) as well as to the application’s data files. The StarForce protection technology has proved to be effective against most subtle hacker attacks in the regions with extremely high piracy rate, such as Eastern Europe or Asia-Pacific countries, and for many software companies has become a reason for their positive increase in annual revenue reports. StarForce solutions are used by such big-name companies in the Asia-Pacific region as Softstar, Soft_world, UserJoy Technology and Odinsoft. The products, adopting StarForce Technologies’ protection solutions and familiar to the Chinese RPG fans include “PAL2”, “PAL3”, “SWORD4”, the classic game “Richman”, and “LEGEND of THREE KIDOMS”.

Thirdly, StarForce solutions are highly user-friendly and effective.  Their products and service to the end-users are not only dependable, but also handy and economical, a major reason for its larger market share.

At the INT’LSOFT CHINA 2004 exhibition StarForce Technologies will exhibit their latest software protection solution StarForce ProActive 1.1 which features a flexible DRM mechanism to customize, generate and maintain user licenses. StarForce ProActive 1.1 enables the software provider to easily define the schemes of using the protected product by his consumers. Thus, depending on the chosen model matching the developer company’s sales and distribution policy, the publisher can effectively promote his products on print, Internet or his own website. Moreover, the software provider can control use of his application and licenses sold without requiring a disc to be present in the end users' drive, or a dongle to be connected to the clients' PC or servers.

Alexander Mamaev, a StarForce Technologies senior manager in Beijing, has made it clear that StarForce Technologies attaches great importance to this exhibition and considers it to be a significant occasion for pursuing communication and cooperation with Chinese developers and publishers.  He further indicated that such an event is a symbol of an increasing concern of Chinese IT world on the matters of the intellectual property protection and copyrights. He also stated that StarForce Technologies has a great confidence in the Chinese market, and believes that the Chinese software industry is becoming an important player on the global market. Therefore, striving to provide its customers with a high-quality service and excellent Customer Support, the company has opened its Asia-Pacific Office - StarForce Technologies (Beijing) on mainland China.
