StarForce announces release of new version SF4.7

New functions of SF 4.7 are equally important for end-users as well as our clients.

These are some of the major changes that we offer to our clients:

Our new product FrontLine Universal allows one time protection integration for products distributed both on optical media and via the internet. A single set of protected files is created for protection installation, support, upgrade and internal testing.

Since only one set of protected files is created therefore the upgrades are produced within a single set also. This solution allows different distribution schemes including any medias or channels, copyright transfers and license sales to dealers and partners. Our new product is targeted at reduction of man-hours during protection integration.

Here are orther changes also worth mentioning:

StarForce 4.7 has better resistance to emulation. Protection against the latest version of Daemon Tools is included in 4.7 and will be upgraded in the upcoming versions.

The most important innovation of StarForce 4.7 is the option of back-up copy for end-users. This technology allows end-users to make one or several copies of protected applications depending on the policy determined by publishers.
Making of back-up copies creates the following advantages:
Original disc is not required during launch and usage.
Optical media is stored and protected from mechanical damaging.
Drivers are not used.
A legal user can now launch protected application of two work stations – at work and at home for instance.
Insures law compliance of many countries requiring making of back-up copies for legal users.
Significantly reduces the number of calls to support service.

Another useful function for the end user is the deactivation of licensed software.

End users can now transfer protected applications from one work station to another by means of license deactivation and further re-activation using the same serial number. This function is useful in case of hardware malfunction or OS re-install. This service is now available and makes usage of protected applications much more convenient.

Besides the mentioned above changes 4.7 has better compatibility and general system stability.
