StarForce participated in All-Russian Conference on Game Industry, ACGI.
The ACGI held during tree days, 27-29 of October 2009, in Dubna town which is situated near Moscow. This was the first Russian national project, aiming to unite the developers of entertaining and educational multimedia, software, “serious games”, service providers in this field etc.
The event is set up by Biart Studio LLC, the Federal Agency for Management of Special Economic Zones, State Academy of Innovations in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation within the project of the All-Russian political party "EDINAYA ROSSIYA" "National Innovation System".
During event StarForce conducted the panel discussion concerning modern computer piracy and the ways of its counteraction. Alexei Zdorov, Financial Director of Russian game publisher Snowball Studios, Simon Little, Managing Director of Pan European Game Information organization (PEGI) and Ed DiEoreo Account Director in field of Online Games of one of the biggest ISP Level 3 Communication are took part in the discussion as speakers.
They stated that technological methods of piracy counteraction are the vital element in field of recoupment of computer games projects. Even in countries where piracy is at the lowest level software protection vendors are faced a great demand for their products and services. Moreover, discussion attendees agreed that digital distribution is the major trend of modern game industry.
The event shown the great organization. Outstanding technological level of Dubna’s Congress Center, sympathetic personnel and beautiful Moscow region’s nature brought the great mood for all conference participants.
