Update 2018.2 Released for StarForce Protection Systems

09.06.2018

StarForce Technologies, the leading developer of software solutions to protect programs and digital information against leakage, copying and illegal distribution, has released the second update in 2018 which affected the several StarForce products - C ++ Obfuscator, Content, ProActive for Business and others.

The most important changes are the following:

1 We have made changes in the algorithm of StarForce C ++ Obfuscator, which allow to increase the stability and speed of compilation for protected projects. In addition, we updated the user guide by adding the supported C ++ ISO/IEC versions and information about the test version of product and its activation.
2 At the moment, our solutions for the protection of programs, multimedia (audio and video) content and documents on USB-devices are used by a large number of customers, and that stimulates us to continually improve this technology. This time, the change touched the visual component of the protection process. We have improved the usability of the USB key generation section. In addition, the protection system now supports switching USB drives into read-only mode and back. This prevents users from accidentally damaging the license file and important data.
3 The update also affected the generation of serial numbers for StarForce ProActive for Business. We made one important change for the product. In the core of the product there is an ability to set protection for corporate programs by binding to various objects - a remote server and / or a personal computer. Now when generating a serial number, the only parameters are displayed that relate for the specific binding object. We did it for a more understandable and logical use of the serial number generation function on the ProActive website.
4 StarForce Reader for iPhone X now looks like all the applications according to the developers of the operating system for this smartphone should look. We revised the visual part of StarForce Reader and reworked the program so that it takes into account the features of the iPhone X screen and fits into the established design framework.
5 We have added the ability to add notes in the text of an open document in StarForce Reader for iOS and Android. To use the new feature, please update the app via the Google Play Store or the App Store.
6 Fixed problem that was caused by the processing of the switch statement that makes it possible to increase the stability of applications protected with StarForce ProActive and StarForce Crypto.

Detailed information is available for clients on the corporate site in the Members zone and in the Update section of Protection Studio.
