The basis of this protection method is the encryption (transformation of executable code into the instructions of the StarForce virtual machine), which allows complicating the process of investigating and modifying the program code by illegal users. During the protection of data files their contents are encoded, while the protected files are moved to a protected container. Protection of CD/DVD – protection of software product distributed by industry circulation
A protected application requires disc key input by end user. When the product is launched, the system checks whether the disc key correspond to the physical parameters of a licensed disc. Replicating protected discs can be performed on any plants.
Protection of CD Keyless/DVD Keyless – The main difference between FL Disc CD Keyless/DVD Keyless and FL Disc CD/DVD is that no disc key input is required when a protected application is activated by an end user. Protection of CD-R/DVD-R – Protection of software products distributed in small batches. Burning a batch of discs can be performed in a customer office using any duplicator and CD-RW, DVD-RW recording drive. The integral components of protection are SF CD-R and SF DVD-R, which are produced according to the technology developed by StarForce specialists. Authentication is performed automatically (it is not necessary input the disk's key).
